This website and associated services is operated by Yarnworker LLC, and is devoted to publishing and sharing information about rigid-heddle weaving.

Data collection is part of running a smart business that meets your needs. We want you to know how we use and collect data. Thanks for being here!

In General. We may collect personal information that can identify you, such as your name and email address, and in some cases other information that does not identify you, for instance, the source that brought you to this website, see "Cookies" below.

We collect this information so we can create more resources you love and to improve your experience on our website. This information is only shared with our trusted third-party partners when necessary to serve you. We will keep your data for no longer than is necessary.

We have direct access to information that we collect voluntarily from you to via email or other direct contact from you. We will not directly sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third-party outside our organization, other than as necessary via our trusted third-party partners to fulfill your request, e.g., to ship an order or host a class.

We partner with PayPal, Stripe and Shopify Paments, to securely process your payment. Therefore, we never learn your credit card information, only your name, email, and shipping address.

Additionally we use other third-party platforms to provide our services including, but not limited to, Wordpress, Mailchimp, Patreon, Thinkific, Crowdcast, Facebook, WooCommerce, Shopify, and Google Analytics. Some of these platforms require you to create an account and agree to their terms of service, which are separate from Yarnworker's terms and privacy policy. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about changes to this privacy policy and other terms of use.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information off-line. Only employees or contractors who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/server in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Cookies

We use "cookies" on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor's hard drive to help us improve access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. For instance, a cookie may cache the Yarnworker site so that it loads quicker. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interest of our users to enable us to understand which elements of our site are most valuable to the most users and continually enhance the experience on our site.
